Tonya stated that she and her husband made a conscience decision to relocate their business in an effort to expand their clientele and have a greater influence in the economic development of the New Haven community. Robert Harris’ mother Mary. Came to New Haven from Alabama after World War Two and began serving the community with her southern style cooking. The inspired DNA for the recipes are well guarded heart held secrets that delight the dinning experience of their guest. Mama Mary's Soul Food Restaurant is more than just a time to dine, it is a legacy in motion. Our NEW hours of operation are: Tues. - Fri. 12pm to 9pm; Sat. 1pm to 9pm; Sun. 12pm to 6pm Closed Mondays Reservations are recommended for weekends.
